China Adventure

Hi everyone, here’s some basics.

We arrived in Seattle on July 29th. We’ll be in Seattle visiting friends until August 6th when we ship off for the big adventure in China. Yesterday, we climbed down a waterfall with big rainbows (brighter than Niagra rainbows!).

Today, we went to Pike’s Market. So fun! They sold lavender jelly and chocolate linguini.

We also saw the Space Needle and a beautiful modern building call The Experience Music Project, which is a museum of music and science fiction (?) It was originally a museum to Jimi Hendrix, and they still have an exhibit there. I love the building – curvy metal, and an iridescent violent glass wall.

We’ll arrive in Shanghai China on August 8th we’re we’ll be met at the airport and driven into Nanjing. Orientation for work begins on the 10th so there is a couple of days for us to settle in to our aptartmennt and adjust to the 12 hour time difference. OnceI get to China I’ll post more details. Zai Jian!
